The Caro-Kann Defence: Essentials (White Repertoire)

A White repertoire against the Caro-Kann Defence, built around the Advance Variation (1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.e5). Covers the structures a student needs to actually understand the system: the quiet 'Short System' keeping both bishops, the common alternative of trading on d3, the immediate 3...c5 try, and the sharp g4 lunge against the bishop on f5 (including the trap if Black greedily captures it). Every line and sideline stays within White's first 10 moves.
