Chess visualisation and blindfold training for Mac and Windows
Memorise a position, then the board disappears completely. Name a random square's colour and the piece on it, then type out the full mating sequence -- all from memory, with nothing left on screen to check against.
No board, no partial credit
Look at a mate-in-1 or mate-in-2 position for as long as you want, then click Ready and it is gone -- not blanked out, not faded, gone. What follows is answered without a board at all: a colour, a piece from a palette of thirteen, and the full mating line typed out move by move.
The mate sequence is graded as a single pass or fail across every move in it -- there is no partial credit for getting the first move right and losing the thread after that, because that thread is exactly what is being tested.
Choose your depth, see where you stand
Mate in 1 is the honest starting point; Mate in 2 is there once that feels easy, chosen explicitly rather than blended into one pool. Each round is scored out of 100, weighted toward the mating line itself, and your stats page shows how your most recent round went -- not a best-ever score that stops meaning much once you have had one lucky round.
Good to know
Is there a time limit in Visualisation mode?
No. You can look at the position for as long as you want before it disappears, and there is no clock running during the questions either.
Does it ask for the whole mating line, or just the first move?
The whole line. For a Mate in 2 that means your move, the forced reply, and your mate -- typed out in full and graded as one pass or fail.
